Dencio, a young student is working hard toward a dream that means everything to him: finishing his education and one day becoming a soldier.

His circumstances have made that journey difficult. To help provide for his everyday needs while continuing his studies, he sells rugs along the street. Even basic necessities such as food, school supplies, transportation, clothing, and proper footwear can sometimes be difficult to afford.

But he continues to study. He continues to work. And most importantly, he continues to dream.

He is one of the young people Deus Caritas World is helping through our charitable programs. His story reminds us that behind every request for assistance is a person with hopes, abilities, and a future worth investing in.
